Vattenfall is one of the world's leading wind power companies. In 2013, our wind farms produced 1.8TWh of low crabon electricity, sufficient to supply well over 600,000 households (based on average domestic UK household consumption).

    Whilst undertaking detailed seabed scanning for the development of windfarm projects in the East Anglia Zone, off the coast of Norfolk and Suffolk, windfarm developers ScottishPower Renewables (SPR) and Vattenfall uncovered something they weren’t expecting– an ‘uncharted’ wreck of a WWI German submarine, missing in action since 1915.

    Vattenfall, the European energy company, is to start construction of its first UK solar power project later this month. The Swedish firm expects to generate first power in March this year. And local people will benefit too as Vattenfall will start feasibility studies shortly into installing solar panels on community buildings at no cost to recipients, investments supported by the local councillor.
