Øystein Løseth takes charge as President and CEO of Vattenfall

As of today, Monday 12 April, Øystein Løseth is the President and CEO of Vattenfall.

He succeeds Lars G. Josefsson on the post. Øystein Løseth (born in 1958) comes from the position as CEO of the Dutch company Nuon Energy, 49 per cent owned by Vattenfall. Last November he was appointed first senior executive vice president in Vattenfall AB and deputy CEO for the Group.

He has worked for Nuon Energy since 2003, serving as its CEO of since April 2008. Prior to joining Nuon Energy, he was a member of the management team at the Norwegian energy company Statkraft, with responsibility for production and project development. He also previously held positions at Naturkraft, Alliance Gas and Statoil.
