Back to the future
Pen y Cymoedd will see the largest peatland restoration project in South Wales, funded by Vattenfall.
Its focus will be on restoring upland habitats - from peat bogs to heathland, grassland, and more native woodland.
A wider range of habitats on the mountain, a diverse landscape for cyclists and walkers to enjoy, and more interesting things to see.
The chance to attract more wildlife to the area with more open corridors and space for them to use.
Through the habitat management plan there will be more vistas and views to take in on the site.
On a clear day you will be able to see for miles and really appreciate the reason why this area was such an important look out for the Romans.
