Vattenfall is exploring a renewable energy project at Mynydd Lluest y Graig in Mid Wales, with plans expected to include a wind farm and options for other renewable technologies such as solar and storage.
The plans are at a very early stage. Vattenfall is keen to develop a project that benefits local farmers, the community and regional businesses, as well as helping to meet Wales’ net zero ambitions.

Timeline
The project team held an informal consultation period in November 2022 to discuss the project and gather views from the local community at an early stage in the project's development.
We thank everyone who took part for sharing their views and ideas, which is being fed into the design of the project.
We will update the community over the coming months with a revised timeline, which will include:
- A Statutory pre-application consultation period
- Submission of a planning application to Planning & Environment Decisions Wales (PEDW)
- Expected decision dates by Welsh Government Minister following examination by the Planning Inspectorate
