Formal Statutory Consultation - 27th November 2017 to 12th January 2018

Formal pre-application consultation is an important phase in the project. We will be sending Project Booklets to all those listed in the Statement of Community Consultation, and holding fifteen events or pop ups locally during the period for you to get involved. More information can be found in our latest newsletter here, which was recently sent out to homes in the area.

As part of the consultation process we have written a Statement of Community Consultation (SOCC), which sets out our consultation programme with the local community during this period of formal consultation. Further information on what a SOCC is can be found on The Planning Inspectorate website here and the document itself can be found here. You can also obtain or view a copy of the document at the locations set out below.

The PEIR will be available for viewing online and at the locations listed above from the 27th November 2017. The PEIR describes our assessment work and the results, and how our understanding of potential impacts has shaped the project design so far. This information will also be reviewed by a wide range of consultees who are advising Vattenfall on development of the project.

The formal consultation period will run from 27th November until the 12th January 2018 and during this time we'll be running a series of Public Information Days around the local area. This is an opportunity for you to come along, find out more about the project, meet our team and provide your own feedback on our proposals. The list of dates and venues is shown below.

Why get involved?

  • This is an important project which will be visible from the shore
  • You have the chance to help shape it
  • We want to hear how we can make sure this investment brings positive benefits locally. What should we be prioritising?

Please come along to meet the team, see the proposals and discuss them with us at one of the events. If you run a local organisation or group and would like someone to come and see you, our Local Liaision Officer, Mel Rogers, would be more than happy to come and present on our project. Just drop us a note at
